What’s Singles in Motion™.com all about? Check out the site at http://www.singlesinmotion.com
Singles in Motion™.com is all about providing solutions for the growing number of singles around the world. After searching the internet for days, we could only find a handful of single event planners and no central site for all singles events on a local level, let alone a national or international level. Thus, the star is born! We hope this site will tear you away from your computer and put you back into fun and enjoyable activities that guarantee new friends and new faces. If you are planning a trip, business or pleasure to Paris or anywhere else around the globe, we hope you will find a listing on this site where you can meet singles in that city! We hope you find the love of your life, but even if you find no more than a group of wonderful new friends in your local area, our efforts will be satisfied.
Behind the Singles in Motion™.com scenes.
I started Singles in Motion™.com as a one person operation, building a website with my limited skills, but all the while hoping single people would be benefited from the free posting and searching formula. I’ve been on dating service websites for over 10 years and although I have met several people who have become good friends, I’m still single. It’s not because I’m a geek or ugly or ill mannered. It’s because I work from home, over the computer and don’t meet people face-to-face. One day it dawned on me that if I truly want to develop a relationship with someone I need to put myself inside a place where single people are. Besides dances and bars where would that be? I started searching the internet and found a few sites, not in my city, who host singles activities for a fee between $60-$120 a month or more. I said to myself, that’s a lot of money just to get the calendar. Then you have to pay for the events, if they aren’t free. Besides it’s a year contract in most cases and what if I leave the country for a few months – I’m still paying that monthly fee. I was already spending several bucks a month to be listed on dating service sites. This was getting expensive and produced few results. OK, there has to be a better way, I thought. If there was a sight where all activities for all singles for all places in the world were listed, I could find some things to do wherever I went. Well, no such site existed, at least none I could find. So, I decided, even if I didn’t make a cent off this project, I would put forth the time and effort to help other singles in my boat find other singles in a similar boat. Thus, a star was born. I sure hope you will participate, find new friends, have fun doing activities you like with other singles who like those same activities and eventually, I really really hope you meet the love of your life.
Since Singles in Motion has limited volunteers, I’ve provided all our information on our website; so please look around, enjoy and find your dreams. After looking through the site if you have additional questions, please review our FAQ page. You may contact us, but with limited time and assistance it may take a while to respond. Sorry about that, but it’s a free site and to keep it free I have to work for a living! Thanks for stopping by! M. Clark, Founder & CEO

I like attending dances for singles. The last dance I went to was hideous. All the men there looked like they were develop mentally disabled. They were the reject crowd from God knows where. LOL I couldn’t believe it I just wanted to bury my head in the sand and not look at anyone. They were so butt ugly and deformed looking!

I went on a fabulous date the other night. We went to a lovely steak house and had a romantic dinner. Then we went to an ice skating in downtown Salt Lake near the temple. I was such a very nice time. This would be a great evening out for anyones first date.

I think if the weather permits a romantic date that doesn’t cost very much is a picnic in a very nice location. You could bring one of those picnic baskets that has everything you and your date would need. You can make pita sandwiches or a great grilled chicken ceaser salad and bring along some fresh berries or seasonal fruit for a dessert. Make sure you bring a comfortable blanket or sheet to lay on. You might want to bring some fancy napkins and maybe a bottle of nice wine. Hand sanitizer is always good to keepp around as well.

Need an idea for what to do on a date? Here’s how to go about finding ideas for new and unusual dates that are enjoyable and memorable.
The three most usual choices for what to do on a date are dinner, a movie, and a public event such as a sports game or concert. Those activities often give the couple several hours of time to enjoy each other’s company. But relying on those same activities too often makes the time spent together seem less important and less dramatic.
Human nature craves the out-of-the-ordinary. A new experience raises awareness and pumps up our interest level. If a couple continues to occasionally find new and unusual choices for what to do, their time together will be more enjoyable.
Probably the best way to find new ideas for what to do for a date is to make a point of being on the lookout for possibilities. You might see something in the newspaper or in a magazine. Someone you know could share an idea they have had. You never know when an idea will present itself.
You should also actively search for new and unusual things to do. A great place to look for ideas is web sites about things you are interested in. Use Google or your favorite search engine. Key in words or phrases that describe the activities and events that you find interesting and enjoyable. Look through the list of web sites found with the search. Browse the sites that seem most promising.
The local visitors’ bureau is a possible source of ideas. They will likely have many brochures about local attractions. Look in the community events section of your newspaper. Check out the section for your county, city or community center. Look through the brochures at the Chamber of Commerce. Look in the yellow pages under headings such as canoeing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, photography classes, and art museums. Check the bulletin board at the library. When you find something interesting, adapt that activity to suit your interests and tastes.
When you have found a particular interest, go to shops that sell equipment for that activity. Ask about events and programs in your locality.
Keep a list of possible activities. Have a place to keep brochures, maps, and visitors’ guides. Make folders in your computer for storing information you have found online. Use Notepad to copy, paste, and save just what is of interest to you. The File menu of most web browsers has a Save As command that can be used to save an entire web page.
At the bottom of this page is a link to a list of date ideas to get you started.
Be open to any suggestions your partner has to offer. Ask yourself what your partner would enjoy doing. Choose something that jibes with his/her tastes and interests. After all, you won’t enjoy the date if your partner doesn’t.
Choose activities that give opportunities for conversation. Comments you and your date make to each other are often the most important part of the date. Couples need to find out each other’s values to build respect and trust. Sharing ideas keeps the relationship alive and interesting.
Your attitude and your partner’s attitude are what is most important for enjoying a date. You will enjoy yourselves if you are positive and open to what the situation has to offer. Keep your mental attitude and enjoyment abilities high. Regularly do things that feed those parts of you that seek fun, adventure, discovery and wonder.
Pursue what you have a passion for. Revive an old dream or pursue a recent ambition. Being passionate about something gives you the energy to be enthusiatic and adventuresome.
Stay informed to stay interesting. Keep up with current events and issues. Listen to the news and news commentary programs. Satisfy your curiosity about things you find interesting. Look things up on the Web. Read magazines. Watch television documentaries. Go to the library. Browse at book stores. Look for new ideas and new interests. One good source I like is the web sites of National Public Radio.
Where you go and what you do on a date are not what matters most. Having fun on a date is more a matter of attitude. Be positive. Let your attention be on what you enjoy about the experience. And use variety and some new experiences to keep your awareness level up so that things stay interesting.
